Dragon “Darryl O’Young” Porsche 911 GT3 Driver

I’m not into racing, but i love cars especially a porsche, now a racing porsche, that would be sweet!🙂

So i came across the 1/6 scale “Darryl O’Young” race car driver figure by Dragon (DML) and easily got interested on it because it’s a Porsche race car driver!

“Darryl” is an old product from DML, but to my surprise the figure is really great quality, its simple no fuzz figure but DML did well on this figure. Darryl O’Young is a Canadian born Chinese racing driver and is base in Hong Kong. More info on him at wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Darryl_O’Young or his website: http://www.darryloyoung.com/

Racing helmet is nice in 1/6 scale, fits well on the figure (note that it has a foam padding inside which i remove when use on head but easily placed back). Visor is movable.

Included in the figure is a trophy and wreath. Darryl is overall champion in Porsche Carrera Cup Asia (PCCA) 2006, but this figure is based on his Porsche Infineon Carrera Cup Asia (PICC) 2005 winnings.

This figure has ‘Puma’ logo all over him! check out the Fire protection balaclava.

The gloves have great detail and nice ‘puma’ drive shoes. Suit is authentically reproduced with all the sponsor labels on it. I’m not familiar with the BlueGirl brand, it says imported premium beer!?

Shown above the racing helmet by ZC girl compared to Dragon.

Photo above is a AutoArt diecast 1/18 replica of Darryl’s Porsche 911 (997) GT3 Cup 2006 PCCA Winner, will be added to my wishlist🙂 The Porsche pictured in the Darryl Figure box is yellow since it is based on the PICC 2005 and not the PCCA 2006 race. I don’t know if AutoArt also did that version.
